About Me
My name is Jane Newbrook and the proud owner of newhorizons4uhypnotherapy & nlp.
As far back as I can remember I have always had a natural desire and flair for wanting to help people. I have also had a very strong believe and interest in the benefits of natural medicine and alternative therapies.
I have worked in the health and social care industry for over 25 years Primarily as a state registered Occupational Therapist (OT) and have a degree a B.s.c Hons degree in Occupational Therapy (2004).
Occupational Therapists work holistically to help people to maximise their independence often through illness, injury and long term physical and mental health conditions. It’s literally the things we take for granted that we do on a day to day from the moment we get up to the moment we go to bed.

My interest in the workings of the mind really began when I really felt I wasn’t able to offer people the support I felt that was very much needed with the emotional and psychological aspects that are required to help people move forward.
I first discovered hypnotherapy myself when I became unwell with Bell’s Palsy in 2002. Hypnotherapy helped me overcome immense fatigue and depression using hypnosis.
Just a few years later in 2005, I undertook my Hypnotherapy Diploma and Master Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner training at the Hummingbird Effect, Essex. Apart from being an incredible and uplifting training it also had some amazing life changing effects on me.
It was instrumental in helping me to deal with some underlying emotional issues helping me to see things in a much more positive light.
It stopped the excruciating levels of pain I had been experiencing for a few years from Endometriosis. I was blown away by the incredible changes from literally not being able to get out of bed due to being in agony for probably 2/4 weeks of the month to, waiting week after to week to see if the pain returned (which it didn’t). To then getting up and back on with a much-improved functioning and pain free life.
In addition, as someone who used to Hyperventilate and need to call someone to remove spiders from the doorway whilst I sat fearful on the kitchen worktop to now picking them up and putting them outside without any concerns. I know from personal experience just how incredible and life changing hypnotherapy and neuro linguistic programming can be.
WHY HAVE I CHOSEN MY SPECIALIST AREAS?
As someone who has had a long history of hormonal imbalances from Endometriosis, experienced excruciating pain, low self-esteem, anxiety, post-traumatic stress a varying degree of both peri and menopausal symptoms. It has led me to study and research and specialise in the areas.
With a professional background firmly placed in Occupational Therapy this enables me to understand, physical, emotional, psychological, aspects of well-being. As well as being a qualified Hypnotherapist and Master Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner (N.L.P).
Coaching and N.L.P are fundamental in helping to re-frame your thoughts and help you to get specific and focus on your goals, what you really want to achieve and what you want to be different.
I have also undertaken specialist Hypnotherapy training in Anxiety, Stress, P.T.S.D, Menopause and pain management. More recently I have undertaken a Menopause practitioner Diploma to be able to provide support and knowledge about hormonal balancing and nutrition.
My aim is to offer a client centre service where I will be led by you and what you specifically wish to work on. By working in partnership with you using Hypnotherapy, Coaching and NLP. With my expertise and knowledge, I aim to help people get the most from my experience.
As I also know given the current financial climate often people will avoid putting their health first or may have to wait a long time to obtain services or there are no services available. This is why I feel it is important to be able to offer different levels of services/treatments in order to help as many people as possible.
WHY WORK WITH ME
